Early this year, I realized that my Sipping Painters were long overdue for an exhibition. In the past, I'd always had Deb McKeller's help and impetus but we lost Deb a year ago so it was up to me to make it happen.  I decided on OhLaLa, a lovely restaurant/bar on the beach in Canoa. I approached Andreita Panta Chavez, the manager, and she kindly agreed to let us use the space. With the help of Susan Maaks, Micky Pedersen, Marie Comeau, Andy Taylor and Monica Marquis we transformed the open-air restaurant into a gallery. It was a cozy, inviting space and the work looked good, as you can see in the photos below. There was an excellent turnout, and we even made some sales. For several of my students, it was their first exhibition, an exciting event.
